Director: Sajid Khan
Cast:Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal.

Housefull, another venture of Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala after Heyy Babyy which tried to bring on a smile on your face, this movie fails to do so. The movie rolls up with a casino where Akshay's real life buddy Vindu Dara Singh celebrates the appearance of Aarush (Akshay Kumar himself!), a Loser or a "Panauti".
The actualization scene of Aarush-The Loser simply copied and pasted from the Mr. Bean television series. After Pooja(Malaika Arora Khan) rejects his proposal and his brother(Arjun Rampal) punches him, Aarush then moves to his old friend Bob (Ritiesh Deshmukh) who works in an another casino in London with his wife Hetal (Lara Dutta). His occurrence at Bob's home as a surprise guest brings disaster. The ongoing scenes were imperfectly executed and went for a long where Lara Dutta continues to deliver her heavy expressions which then went irritating. Sajid Khan continues to convey his brainless comedy in all these scenes from electrifying dance moves to Prada the tiger. Then enters Devika(Jiah Khan), daughter of Mr.Kishore(Randhir Kapoor) who is the owner of the casino where Bob works. Devika-Aarush story begins in London and ends up in Italy. Italy comes with few surprises:the major one-Chunkey Pandey as Aakhri Pasta, the only star-cast of the movie who tries to give you rib tickles in all his scenes. Devika leaves and Sandy(Deepika Padukone) enters with the most silly joke on the longer South Indian name. The screenplay still goes the same-plain and boring and asking you to expect at least a single punch but disappoints. Songs were good enough to keep you off the movie. One by one entry of Boman Irani and Arjun Rampal throws Akshay's character in a spider web in a cheesy, messy and unconvincing manner. All through this there was monotonous picturization of Krishna the commando(Arjun Rampal) who keeps a lie-detector handy(Believe it or not!!!). The gay sequence between Aarush-Bob-Krishna as observed by Boman's character comes out with nothing new and hardly gives you a reason to smile. The screenplay still doesn't rises up its level and comes to a climax at the Buckingham Palace where the laughing gas accident causes up a new disaster in the screenplay with some misdirection and its unconvincing execution. But that's the place where it ends up with the sole punch of the whole long movie with the Queen speaking Marathi and saying "Jai Maharashtra". Such heavy punches were missing all through the movie.

The movie was technically losing its head in all its way. Jiah Khan and Arjun Rampal keeps their constant underacting spirit. Akshay keeps his character under control that refrained Aarush to come up with his performance as in Heyy Babyy. Lara Dutta and Ritiesh Deshmukh does a sort of over-acting in partnership. Amongst all, "acting" could be seen through Boman Irani, Randhir Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey and Deepika Padukone.

Dont beleive rumors. This movie is not a hit!!!

Rating: * 1/2
