Fire In The Blood is a compelling documentary, narrated by Academy Award winner William Hurt, about the malpractices followed by western drug-manufacturers that has taken a toll on human lives, around a million, in other continents, mainly Africa and Asia. In 1996, Anti-retroviral (ARVs) were discovered as potential antidote to HIV infected patients. But they were denied to “third world countries” because the manufacturers priced them ridiculously high, costing the treatment near to unaffordable $15000 per year per patient, and no generic versions of these medicines could be manufactured as they were patented!
